Our Coalition
Bank On Rochester works to connect everyone to safe and appropriate financial products and services.

“Access to a safe and affordable bank account is a critical first step to achieving financial empowerment,” said Rochester Mayor Malik D. Evans. “I am proud to partner with United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes to join the national Bank On movement to bring the advantages of sound banking practices to more city residents. Programs such as this position people to succeed in every economic cycle, from recession to rebound, and advance our goals to create a safe, equitable and prosperous Rochester.”

Bank On Rochester is committed to helping residents access safe, affordable banking products and services. Our partners span from local nonprofit and community organizations to local government agencies.

Bank On Rochester is part of a national movement: like many other coalitions across the country, Bank On Rochester partners across sectors to work to connect residents to banking products certified as meeting Bank On National Account Standards. The alliance provides outreach and programming to connect residents to safe financial products, partner with local financial institutions to support account access, and work to integrate banking access strategies into nonprofit and government social services. The coalition also helps to assist with credit recovery and financial literacy.
